So incredibly sweet and loves everyone he meets! Jake is the joy you didn’t know you needed all wrapped up in puppy adorableness. He’s happy, he’s friendly and he’s ready to be your new best friend. Everyone needs an adorable puppy friend don’t you think? And Jake is here to make sure he’s memorable. He’ll buddy up with your kids and he’s always happy to meet a stranger. He wears his smile for the world to see and isn’t afraid to un-bottle all his affection. He’s everything we love about happy, healthy puppies and he can’t wait to meet you!
Can you believe this sweet boy almost didn’t have a future. He came in to the shelter with ringworm, a super contagious skin issue that spreads easily to other animals and people. It’s pretty easy to treat but most shelters just don’t have the space to quarantine effectively. Because of this Jake was placed on the euthanasia list. We couldn’t watch a puppy lose his life over something treatable so Jake came with us and has been quarantining and receiving treatment for the last 6 weeks. Jake is officially all clear and ready to start looking for his perfect home!
Jake would make the perfect family pup. His social nature and happy demeanor fit well with humans of all ages. He’s looking for a family to love and we’re working hard to find him a family committed to providing him the training and structure all puppies need so they grow into amazing adult dogs. Jake learns fast and is so fun to be around he really is an amazing pup. If you’re looking for a good boy to grow with your family sweet and happy Jake just might be the one!

Here’s what you need to know about adopting a cat or dog from Marley’s Mutts:
- Each adoptable pet will be introduced on Facebook
- Each pet will have its own profile here on the website
- All pets will be spayed or neutered
- All pets will be micro-chipped and shots will be up-to-date
- Each pet has their own application to complete—make sure you use the right one (linked from their bio)
It’s important to us that each pet goes not just to a great home but to the “right” home. Our foster parents work with each pet to get to know them and their needs.
We try hard to list all of the pertinent info about each pet on the site so you can choose the pet that will fit with your family/lifestyle. If you don’t see a specific pet on the site, he/she is not ready for adoption. Please be patient and wait until the bio is listed. We don’t decide on a “first come, first served” basis but rather on a “who’s the very best fit.” So, don’t panic.
It’s not a quick process. We receive dozens of applications for each pet so please be patient. If you’re shortlisted you’ll be contacted as soon as possible.
If selected to meet one of our pets and you currently have pets, you’ll be asked to do an in-person pet intro; we don’t do the long-distance adoption thing. If you live out of town, plan a fun road trip to meet the pet in person.
Don’t be discouraged if your application is not selected. Remember, we get a lot of them! Trust us, the best fit for you is coming.
