Please replace the written portion of Francine’s bio with this:

Sex: Female

Breed: Pitbull terrier/Husky x

Estimated Date of Birth : 06/30/2023

Majestic, beautiful, kind, resilient all words we’d use to describe the incredible Francine! She’s everything you want in a dog and more. She’s lived and preserved through things that should have crumbled her. Yet through it all she remains a gentle soul who loves snuggles, people and her canine friends. She is the epitome of motherhood and her strength and dedication inspire us all.

We don’t know Francine’s past, where she came from or even how she found herself pregnant and abandoned but this momma did what she had to do to keep her babies safe. 8 babies all alive, healthy and thriving because of her. She was originally noticed by a Good Samaritan along the stretch of road where that Good Samaritan fed discarded dogs. Francine had chosen an abandoned house in an orchard to have her babies and keep them safe. The Good Samaritan started networking for rescue and Francine was trapped by animal control. When the Good Samaritan realized the babies had been left behind they went under the house to rescue them. Once everyone was safe a plan was put into place to reunite Francine with her babies. An amazing foster stepped up and took the whole family and continued networking for rescue. We saw the pleas for help and gave them the rescue backing they so desperately needed.

Francine has never looked back. She and her babies have thrived in foster care and now that her mothering duties are complete it’s time for this sweet girl to find her forever home. Francine is dog friendly and would do best with other large dogs. Shes great on leash, loves treats and has learned basic manners. She’s cautious when meeting new people, who wouldn’t be after what she’s been through, but warms up quickly. She LOVES to be pet and snuggle in with her humans and is truly cherishing being part of a family in a home. Francine gave so much to ensure her puppies were safe and cared for and now it’s our turn to find her the perfect home. If you think you are the perfect home for her please apply.

Here’s what you need to know about adopting a cat or dog from Marley’s Mutts:

  • Each adoptable pet will be introduced on Facebook
  • Each pet will have its own profile here on the website
  • All pets will be spayed or neutered
  • All pets will be micro-chipped and shots will be up-to-date
  • Each pet has their own application to complete—make sure you use the right one (linked from their bio)

It’s important to us that each pet goes not just to a great home but to the “right” home. Our foster parents work with each pet to get to know them and their needs.

We try hard to list all of the pertinent info about each pet on the site so you can choose the pet that will fit with your family/lifestyle. If you don’t see a specific pet on the site, he/she is not ready for adoption. Please be patient and wait until the bio is listed. We don’t decide on a “first come, first served” basis but rather on a “who’s the very best fit.” So, don’t panic.

It’s not a quick process. We receive dozens of applications for each pet so please be patient. If you’re shortlisted you’ll be contacted as soon as possible.

If selected to meet one of our pets and you currently have pets, you’ll be asked to do an in-person pet intro; we don’t do the long-distance adoption thing. If you live out of town, plan a fun road trip to meet the pet in person.

Don’t be discouraged if your application is not selected. Remember, we get a lot of them! Trust us, the best fit for you is coming.

If you’re lucky and you do adopt a super amazing pet from Marley’s Mutts, don’t ever hesitate to reach out to us for training, medication, or behavior questions. We’re here for you, and your pet.
