MARLEY’S MUTTS DOG RESCUE is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to saving the lives of Kern County’s shelter animals. With shelters overcrowded, euthanasia is often the only solution the county has to control the population. Lost and abandoned dogs need all of us to save them from death. While we don’t take strays off of the street, we do offer resources for training, rehoming and networking.
Marley’s Mutts Dog Rescue was founded by Zach Skow in 2009 during a pivotal time in his life when he was seeking purpose and healing. As he worked to rebuild his life, he found strength, motivation and unconditional love Marley’s Mutts is an organization dedicated to giving second chances-to both dogs and people. Based in Kern County, California, Marley’s Mutts has since become a well-known nonprofit focused on rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming dogs as well running innovative no-cost community-based programs that foster rehabilitation and growth.
