If devoted had a face that look of devotion would be CeCe! This sweet girl longs to give humans her everything. Every ounce of her love, every ounce of her time and every ounce of her not so small frame. She’s actually not a very big dog but definitely needs to lose a few pounds. Thankfully that extra weight just requires a diet and doesn’t hold her back from everything she’s ready and willing to give. CeCe has had a lot of practice giving and had an amazing home for the 1st 8 years of her life but that changed in an instant.

CeCe and 3 other dogs were loved by their human dad. They were his everything and he gave them everything they needed. Sadly he suddenly passed away at home leaving all 4 dogs alone. Once his family realized he’d passed they cared for the dogs until rescue was found. CeCe’s transition into foster care was a little stressful for her. Her foster family gave her the time she needed to decompress and now she’s showing them the sweet kind girl she’s always been. We can’t imagine how heartbreaking it is to lose everything but we are thankful we could give CeCe a soft spot to land and the chance at a new beginning. We know her human dad would have wanted that.

Cece is very sweet and devoted. She looks out for everyone. She wants to please and very much wants to learn the rules and boundaries of the home. She’s initially shy and has to warm up to feel confident but after that she is a love bug. She loves relaxing and is more of an inside dog however she really enjoys a walk and will prance with excitement. She’s getting lots of these walks in her foster home to work on getting her extra weight off. She’s nondestructive and quickly learning the basics of crate training. Shes good with other dogs, good with cats but people are her absolute favorite. If you’ve been looking for a sweet girl who just wants a family to love consider giving CeCe the new family she’s been waiting for.

Here’s what you need to know about adopting a cat or dog from Marley’s Mutts:

  • Each adoptable pet will be introduced on Facebook
  • Each pet will have its own profile here on the website
  • All pets will be spayed or neutered
  • All pets will be micro-chipped and shots will be up-to-date
  • Each pet has their own application to complete—make sure you use the right one (linked from their bio)

It’s important to us that each pet goes not just to a great home but to the “right” home. Our foster parents work with each pet to get to know them and their needs.

We try hard to list all of the pertinent info about each pet on the site so you can choose the pet that will fit with your family/lifestyle. If you don’t see a specific pet on the site, he/she is not ready for adoption. Please be patient and wait until the bio is listed. We don’t decide on a “first come, first served” basis but rather on a “who’s the very best fit.” So, don’t panic.

It’s not a quick process. We receive dozens of applications for each pet so please be patient. If you’re shortlisted you’ll be contacted as soon as possible.

If selected to meet one of our pets and you currently have pets, you’ll be asked to do an in-person pet intro; we don’t do the long-distance adoption thing. If you live out of town, plan a fun road trip to meet the pet in person.

Don’t be discouraged if your application is not selected. Remember, we get a lot of them! Trust us, the best fit for you is coming.

If you’re lucky and you do adopt a super amazing pet from Marley’s Mutts, don’t ever hesitate to reach out to us for training, medication, or behavior questions. We’re here for you, and your pet.
