River is one of our Pawsitive Change dogs who just hasn’t been able to find the perfect fit. This poor guy has been returned twice and we’d love to find a family that understands his needs and can give him the forever home he deserves. River originally came from a litter of puppies that were born at Kern County Animal Services. His mother was unable to care for him or his brothers while at the shelter so he and his brothers were separated from her. We pulled the puppies and the momma dog as they had no adoption interest and the puppies were underage.
River has loads of obedience training from his time in Pawsitive change. He knows all of his basic commands, walks nicely on a leash and is both house and crate trained. He’s a great dog for the right home. Unfortunately poor River is a very insecure dog. This means new situations and loud noises scare him. He would not do well in a home with young active children. He also can be very nervous around men and would likely do best with a female adopter. Any single ladies looking for Mr. Right? Lol.
We’d love to finally find River his family. He’s been through so much in his short life he deserves to have a family that fits his needs and can give him a lifetime of happiness. So all you ladies looking for a gentlemen who is tall, dark, handsome and available apply to meet River today.
