Dogs live in the moment and both Pancake and Waffles are living up every single moment they can! These sweet girls (we believe they are sisters) are the faces of perseverance. What they’ve overcome in their short lives is a testament to the canine spirit and why dogs really are amazing beings. We don’t deserve the loyalty they so willingly give and yet they give their entire lives to us. Both Pancake and Waffles want so desperately to give their lives and hearts to you!
Pancake and Waffles were thrown from a moving car. Someone saw such little value in their lives they were disposed of like trash and left to die. The girls, still completely devoted to this person, tried desperately to keep up. They tried desperately to re-enter the very car that discarded them on the streets. They weren’t successful but thankfully stayed together as they tried to navigate their new reality. For every bad human there are so many more amazing ones. A Good Samaritan, who saw the whole thing, immediately started working on a plan for rescue. She reached out to us and we had room. Pancake and Waffles are both at our rescue ranch where we will work to find them the forever homes they’ve never known.
Pancake (blue eyes) is the confident ringleader of the pair. She’s never afraid to give kisses or cuddles and is so happy to get any amount of positive human interaction. She’s incredibly sweet and affectionate. Waffles wants to trust but she’s going to make you earn that trust. We don’t blame her after everything these girls have gone through. Our ranch staff will continue to build their confidence and we know in just the right homes these little ladies are going to thrive!

Each adoptable pet will be introduced on Facebook
Each pet will have its own profile here on the website
All pets will be spayed or neutered
All pets will be micro-chipped and shots will be up-to-date
Each pet has their own application to complete—make sure you use the right one (linked from their bio)
It’s important to us that each pet goes not just to a great home but to the “right” home. Our foster parents work with each pet to get to know them and their needs.
We try hard to list all of the pertinent info about each pet on the site so you can choose the pet that will fit with your family/lifestyle. If you don’t see a specific pet on the site, he/she is not ready for adoption. Please be patient and wait until the bio is listed. We don’t decide on a “first come, first served” basis but rather on a “who’s the very best fit.” So, don’t panic.
It’s not a quick process. We receive dozens of applications for each pet so please be patient. If you’re shortlisted you’ll be contacted as soon as possible.
If selected to meet one of our pets and you currently have pets, you’ll be asked to do an in-person pet intro; we don’t do the long-distance adoption thing. If you live out of town, plan a fun road trip to meet the pet in person.
Don’t be discouraged if your application is not selected. Remember, we get a lot of them! Trust us, the best fit for you is coming.
