Mutt Militia, meet Nick, our Volunteer of the Month. Nick has only been volunteering with us since May, but he has already made a big impact!
Nick was always looking to give back to animals in need, and when he saw a social media post from Marley’s Mutts about all of the cool things they’d done for and with their dogs, he knew this was where he wanted to volunteer. Nick’s favorite part about volunteering is spending time with all of dogs at the ranch, as well as the caring staff. “I feel proud knowing we’re doing everything in our power to find them their forever homes.”
His advice for anyone considering volunteering is, “If you have an extra hour or two during your day, come out to the ranch. The dogs enjoy all of the love and attention they receive from volunteers and staff, and it truly makes a difference in their day to day lives. There is always something to do at the ranch. Whether you’re working on a project, building something, feeding the dogs, or just playing with them. It is always a rewarding experience because you know that you are affecting their lives in a positive way. That is a great feeling!”
Nick has 2 dogs, Rose & Buddy, and a cat named Simba. He works as a mechanic, loves cars, rock and roll, skating and dogs.
