The sweetest of sugar faced seniors Molly may have lived a lot of years but she still has lots of love to give a caring family. That’s all this old girl wants…..a home to call her own for whatever time she has left. Molly is good with other dogs and has a back of the pack personality which can sometimes get her bullied. Shes very cat curious and will pester and try to chase the cat in her foster home. She loves dog beds and any soft warm space she can find. With her advanced age she’s an extended nap kinda girl with no major exercise needs. It may be a big ask for some but we know there’s a compassionate human out there who will fall in love with sweet Molly regardless of her life expectancy. They’ll love her imperfections and all. Every lump and bump, every silver sprinkle covering her senior dog body.
Molly was part of a group of 13 senior dogs who lost their long time rescuer when she went on hospice. She was no longer able to care for her animals and they all needed a soft place to land. All 13 are now in foster care with us and waiting for loving forever homes. Molly has quickly settled into foster care and is ready to find her forever home. A home that knows she isn’t a young dog but still has lots of love to give a family willing to look beyond her age. Could you be Mollys perfect home?
Molly has learned to use the doggie door in her foster home but will still have accidents. She’s a quiet girl and we’ve rarely heard her bark. She has a happy sweet personality and is content with the simple things in life. Like many senior pups Molly has a lipoma. Lipomas are fatty lumps that develop as a dog grows older and are not life threatening just a normal part of aging. Molly is ready to find the perfect retirement home and is hoping you’ll give her the chance to have one final place to call her own. If you’d like to give Molly her perfect home please apply today.
Here’s what you need to know about adopting a cat or dog from Marley's Mutts:
Each adoptable pet will be introduced on Facebook
Each pet will have its own profile here on the website
All pets will be spayed or neutered
All pets will be micro-chipped and shots will be up-to-date
Each pet has their own application to complete—make sure you use the right one (linked from their bio)
It’s important to us that each pet goes not just to a great home but to the “right” home. Our foster parents work with each pet to get to know them and their needs.
We try hard to list all of the pertinent info about each pet on the site so you can choose the pet that will fit with your family/lifestyle. If you don’t see a specific pet on the site, he/she is not ready for adoption. Please be patient and wait until the bio is listed. We don’t decide on a “first come, first served” basis but rather on a “who’s the very best fit.” So, don’t panic.
It’s not a quick process. We receive dozens of applications for each pet so please be patient. If you’re shortlisted you’ll be contacted as soon as possible.
If selected to meet one of our pets and you currently have pets, you’ll be asked to do an in-person pet intro; we don’t do the long-distance adoption thing. If you live out of town, plan a fun road trip to meet the pet in person.
Don’t be discouraged if your application is not selected. Remember, we get a lot of them! Trust us, the best fit for you is coming.
If you’re lucky and you do adopt a super amazing pet from Marley’s Mutts, don’t ever hesitate to reach out to us for training, medication, or behavior questions. We’re here for you, and your pet.
