Jimmy

Sex: Male

Breed: German Shepherd

Estimated Date of Birth : 02/02/2024

Have you seen a Panda Shepherd? You should google it cause that’s exactly the breed Jimmy resembles. There are so many purebred dogs in our shelter systems it wouldn’t surprise us. Whatever his breed combination this boy is a lover of life. He a happy, young energetic pup who’s very dog and human social. There isn’t a mean bone in his body and he’s happiest using all those positive social skills in our doggie play groups. All those positive skills also make Jimmy an excellent candidate for our Pawsitive Change program! Jimmy has headed into North Kern State Prison and will spend the next 3 months gaining basic obedience skills to go with his wonderful temperament. Once he’s out this big fun boy is hoping to find an equally fun and active adoptive home. We’d love to see him paired up with a playful canine buddy or two and a family willing to continue his training and provide for his activity needs.

As beautiful, young and friendly as Jimmy is he found himself on the euthanasia list at our county shelter. Really great dogs are loosing their lives every day because our shelters are so overwhelmed with dogs and can’t find enough adopters to get even the awesome dogs out safely. Jimmy needed rescue after spending months in shelter foster care with no interest. He grew up at the shelter, was a parvo surviver and had already overcome so much we couldn’t let him lose his life over no interest. Thankfully Pawsitive Change gives dogs like Jimmy their chance!

Jimmy has jumped into Pawsitive Change and never looked back. Just happy to be alive and loving every opportunity life has thrown his way in justice few months Jimmy will be ready to embark on the next leg of his rescue journey….Adoption! If you’ve been looking for a visually beautiful happy go lucky awesome and fun dude Jimmy just might be the dog for you. He’s ready to find his family and have a lifetime to play and explore all the wonderful things an adopted life will bring!

Here’s what you need to know about adopting a cat or dog from Marley's Mutts:

  • Each adoptable pet will be introduced on Facebook

  • Each pet will have its own profile here on the website

  • All pets will be spayed or neutered

  • All pets will be micro-chipped and shots will be up-to-date

  • Each pet has their own application to complete—make sure you use the right one (linked from their bio)

It’s important to us that each pet goes not just to a great home but to the “right” home. Our foster parents work with each pet to get to know them and their needs.

We try hard to list all of the pertinent info about each pet on the site so you can choose the pet that will fit with your family/lifestyle. If you don’t see a specific pet on the site, he/she is not ready for adoption. Please be patient and wait until the bio is listed. We don’t decide on a “first come, first served” basis but rather on a “who’s the very best fit.” So, don’t panic.

It’s not a quick process. We receive dozens of applications for each pet so please be patient. If you’re shortlisted you’ll be contacted as soon as possible.

If selected to meet one of our pets and you currently have pets, you’ll be asked to do an in-person pet intro; we don’t do the long-distance adoption thing. If you live out of town, plan a fun road trip to meet the pet in person.

Don’t be discouraged if your application is not selected. Remember, we get a lot of them! Trust us, the best fit for you is coming.

If you’re lucky and you do adopt a super amazing pet from Marley’s Mutts, don’t ever hesitate to reach out to us for training, medication, or behavior questions. We’re here for you, and your pet.
