Breed: Pit Bull
Estimated Date of Birth : 01/24/2021
Freedom he’s as sweet as he is handsome. How could you not love his big mushy face. He’s literally the pittie right out of everyone’s favorite TV show The Little Rascals. Just like his TV doppelgänger he loves to run and play and he loves every human he’s met. Such a good boy who deserves the best life can give him. We’re here to ensure that his 2nd Chance at life gives him just that!
Despite his happy go lucky nature Freedoms life has not been happy or very lucky. This sweet boy was part of the 50+ dog hoarding case in California City. He was starved and forced to live in a tiny crate resulting in wounds developing on his lower extremities. A happy and active dog litterally wasting away when he should have been saved. But Freedom was finally saved and has never looked back. He’s thriving at our ranch and is now healthy enough to find his forever home.
Freedom has a very high drive to please. He wants nothing more than the acceptance people give and is willing to work hard to get your approval. He loves every person he’s ever met familiar face and stranger alike and is ready to shower you with loads of pittie affection. He likes other dogs too but needs the appropriate introductions to ensure compatibility. Some canine energy levels make him a little unsure and uneasy. This big boy has been though a lot but he’s come out the other side on top! We can’t wait to show him how much better it can get from here by finding him his forever home.
Here’s what you need to know about adopting a cat or dog from Marley's Mutts:
Each adoptable pet will be introduced on Facebook
Each pet will have its own profile here on the website
All pets will be spayed or neutered
All pets will be micro-chipped and shots will be up-to-date
Each pet has their own application to complete—make sure you use the right one (linked from their bio)
It’s important to us that each pet goes not just to a great home but to the “right” home. Our foster parents work with each pet to get to know them and their needs.
We try hard to list all of the pertinent info about each pet on the site so you can choose the pet that will fit with your family/lifestyle. If you don’t see a specific pet on the site, he/she is not ready for adoption. Please be patient and wait until the bio is listed. We don’t decide on a “first come, first served” basis but rather on a “who’s the very best fit.” So, don’t panic.
It’s not a quick process. We receive dozens of applications for each pet so please be patient. If you’re shortlisted you’ll be contacted as soon as possible.
If selected to meet one of our pets and you currently have pets, you’ll be asked to do an in-person pet intro; we don’t do the long-distance adoption thing. If you live out of town, plan a fun road trip to meet the pet in person.
Don’t be discouraged if your application is not selected. Remember, we get a lot of them! Trust us, the best fit for you is coming.
If you’re lucky and you do adopt a super amazing pet from Marley’s Mutts, don’t ever hesitate to reach out to us for training, medication, or behavior questions. We’re here for you, and your pet.
If you were all interested in “freedom“, feel free to contact me. For I am the original owner who surrendered him to the Lancaster shelter. He was beloved member of my family and my daughter‘s best friend for about four or five years.
Call or text me, I will answer any questions you have. And will do anything to find him a good home.
Thank you, Marley’s mutts for saving him.
