Age: 5 Years
Lydie is a 5 year old Goldendoodle who came to use when her owner could no longer care for her. Lydie's world was turned upside down when she herniated a disc jumping out of a car, leaving her paralyzed from the waist down. She was brought to UC Davis for surgery to fix it. Unfortunately, Lydie's surgery did not help, and her owner had to make the devastating decision to get help in finding Lydie a home with someone who would be able to care for her special needs. Lydie settled in nicely in her foster home and is doing great. She's getting stronger by the day, and figured out how to use her cart in no time! She absolutely loves her walks and loves toys and tennis balls as well. She gets along with the other dogs in the house. Lydie is a very smart girl who is learning to leave the resident cats alone. She is very sweet and extremely eager to please. Lydie wears diapers to help with any accidents she may have, but will go to the bathroom every time she is taken out, which has been about every 2-3 hours in her foster home. Lydie is a special girl looking for a special home!
