Ricardo

Sex: Male
Breed: Chihuahua cross
Age: 4 years

Meet Ricardo! Ricardo is a confident little guy who was rescued from a Los Angeles County shelter. He loves to play and does well with other confident dogs.

Ricardo would do well in a home with other playful dogs or children. He can totally keep up with an active family and would love nothing more than to tag along on your adventures. He has a tendency to be dominant with submissive dogs so a home with a confident pack leader would be ideal. He is very responsive to correction. He is both crate and house trained.
Ricardo is currently enrolled in our Pawsitive Change Prison Program and is learning a lot!  He will be graduating with his Canine Good Citizen certificate.  Apply to bring Ricardo home to your family.

Oran

Sex: Male
Breed: Beagle cross
Age: 1 year

Oran is a sweet and shy boy who survived horrific conditions in a large hoarding case in Tehachapi, Ca. He and 160 other dog’s were seized from a single family home. The dogs, although well fed,  were living in filth and disease with little socialization. Several of the dog’s were euthanized due to injuries and major health issues. Oran was one of the lucky dogs to be pulled into Rescue.
Oran has started his recovery in foster care. He’s slowly coming out of his shell and his time in the Pawsitive Change program will help boost his confidence so he can find a forever home. He’ll do best in a quiet, calm house with someone who can give him the time to adjust and continue his socialization. He loves cheese, gets along great with other dogs and is both crate and house trained.

Oran has learned a lot at prison and graduated with his Canine Good Citizen certificate. He’s a sweet and shy boy just waiting to find the perfect family of his very own. Apply to bring Oran home to your family.

Bayli

Sex:  Female
Breed:  Mastiff Mix
Age:  2 Years
Welcome Bayli to the Mutt family!  Bayli came to Marleys with her sister Hayli when they were being turned into a local shelter because their owner had lost his home and could no longer keep them.  Luckily Zach was there that day and instead of them headed to the shelter to an unknown future, they came home to the Rescue Ranch!
Bayli is the darker brindle of the two and she is a very happy go lucky kinda dog.  She loves other dogs and people!  She is happy weather she is lounging on a couch, or out for a long hike in the wilderness.  Bayli would love to be adopted to a home with another dog to pal around with and have another companion to snuggle with.  If you would like to adopt this big lovely girl, apply to adopt her today!

Margarita

Sex: Female
Breed: Chihuahua
Age: 12 years old
Margarita was rescued from Kern County Animal Services as a senior who made it seem as if she only had a few days left on earth and we wanted to give her the best last days ever.  Turns out Margarita was only faking! She got out of the shelter and the very same night let her spunky self shine and turns out wasn't sick at all! She let the world know that she was super unhappy being locked up.  This swinging senior chihuahua is what we like to call a drama queen! Drama queen or not, she is one sweet cuddly chihuahua who is looking for her own castle to be doted upon and spoiled in. Margarita is good with other dogs, but chooses to spend most of her days napping, sunning herself and enjoying hand fed treats.  If you are looking to add in an awesome senior dog to your pack who deserves to be spoiled and loved on, apply for Margarita today!

Ranger

Sex: Male
Breed: Rhodesian Ridgeback/Lab
Age: 4 years
Ranger was rescued from West Valley shelter after being there for two months and left in the medical area, unable to be seen by the public because he was suffering from an un-diagnosed skin issue (all cured now- keep reading). His foster and one of our Marley's Mutts trainers had the good fortune of meeting him  and were overwhelmed by his sweetness. After being rescued, Ranger was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease that is fortunately easily managed by a low dose medication. Ranger is a very gentle, long legged boy who is great with all the dogs he's met on walks. His current housemate is a Pit bull who doesn't do great when first meeting new dogs but it was super easy to introduce him to Ranger. Ranger is very polite and doesn't force himself onto dogs when he first meets them, but loves to play if they want to. He's met some dogs while on walks who got reactive with him but Ranger just slowly backed away from them, completely unaffected. He is crate trained and enjoys having quiet time to himself in there. He has been so sweet with every person he's met as well and gives them all kisses. He will benefit from having structure once he's in his forever home because he was likely always an outdoor dog. This boy is truly special, a very sweet soul. Oh, he also sings when he hears sirens outside and will sing with you if you start to howl - it's ridiculously cute.
